Tony, I too sometimes get to busy doing Ranger things. My wife pulls me
back into the family and it seems to be a balance thing that I contantly
have to keep aware of. Yes Rangers is the Ministry I am called to. Yes
it has priority and I do something Ranger Wise most every day...
As every ministry can do if we don't keep balance. This is the tricky
part. I know some guys whose balance is one ranger outting a year others
15 plus outtings. Each one of us have a balance we have to adjust on a
sometimes Daily basis.
One thing I have learned. When my wife starts calling for attention. I
make myself stop and turn towards her and spend some time with her and
our two kids. I have learned in my case that I can be a workaholic,
Rangeraholic, Hobbyaholic, ComputerNerdaholic... and so on but if my wife
isn't happy it is as dust in the wind. It doesn't come easy to me. It
is a stugle I deal with. Rest assured. God, Wife, Family, Rangers...and
of importance is me if the rest of these items are in perspective then I
am happy as well.
God Bless you Commander. Pick the outtings you can make and let God
provide for those you can't make.
Thanks for sharing with us.
