Your Sectional staff needs to re-evaluate their priorities!
One sectional event per quarter is probably about right.
And if you have divisions, one or two division events.
And one or two district events.
If sect/div/dist all lean toward the high end, you are looking at eight
events annually above the outpost level. That already begins to stretch
the understanding and patience of most wives and families. Throw in a half
dozen outpost events and you are up to 14 weekends a year. Add to that
Pinewood derby, RR district council, all-commanders conference, FCF events,
etc., and we have more than enough to do.
Respectfully disagree with your section staff. I believe they are in error
and need to re-evaluate their schedule and their priorities. Royal Rangers
is NOT about section and section activities. It's about the outpost and the
boys in the outpost. The section is supposed to be there to AID the local
outposts. It is NOT supposed to plan the year for them. And I do not see
and have not seen anything in print that says an outpost MUST attend all
sectional events. Attend those that fit your schedule or seem to be of the
most interest to your boys.
