Jonathan... *great explination, however it does not answer a question
of why a Female cannot recieve such important training...
It just *discriminates on gender...
*NOW! before.... we roll up sleaves to re-hash an issue...
Consider that the MEN of Royal Rangers.. *Need clear instruction
when seeing a Woman at a Ranger event! The policy should not be
applied to allow *any Ranger to confront or challenge a sister, but
only provide a framework for continueing accomidation to our co-workers
in the kingdom.
(*I've had long conversations with intresting people<G> over the
notion that RR was created for Men and Boys... *I'm mindfull of our
charges- responsibilities to the boys, and if I can... Pledge once again
to not tear down.. but LIFT UP my fellow leaders! I want to encourage
them to think outside their normal field of view... and consider the
feelings of others, equaly called to serve)
In my Outpost....
Men who serve as leaders, can travel along with their sons thu the Ranger
Adventure, *but not a Mom no matter the number of sons involved in the
Ranger program.. Mom is not welcome at several of his *events and
*cerimonies.. and have been asked to leave.
*In the USA the seperate but equal policy of this "attitude" has holes
big enough to drive trucks thru... It's eleteist... and creates needless
family stress<G> *We can fix it.. OPEN THE DOOR TO FAMILY CAMPING!
*Non-USA Rangers are treated with respect for their position and granted
access to National events... We can treat our own the same way!
...kindness and generosity, opening our hearts in Christian love!
*It's easy..and we want too... Let's do it!
We used to say: Buckaroos don't camp.. so Buckaroos Leaders do not need to
be trained in camping... *But now the Buckaroo's have a Camping award
requireing a overnite camp... Yes! BSTC!
Too boil this down<G>
--------------------
*Mayby it's time to change things around.. to recognize the Leadership
of Royal Rangers are all over 18... and due full access to Training
opportunities even tho it changes the *content or *form of NTC- USA style.
*Thanks...
