I passed some children this morning on the way to work.. they were
in a line and playing a game.
The biggest child was a girl with a big pink parka.. and she was
leaning back as every one ran around her at the center of a game
of *crack the whip!
Crack the whip is played by spinning a friend around you and another, and
another grabs the hand as the enlargeing line flys by....
*What fun to be at the center.. and pull and strain to make the group
fly around ever faster... In a moment... the last person cannot keep up
and flys away! *sometimes tumbleing on the ground or perhaps skinning the
knee as they are forced to let go of the line....

When we work to enlarge Royal Rangers... we need to change the rules of
the game.. the part of applying power and back to make the line grow and
go is fine...
The part about linking arms and hanging on is fine also...
*But the part about flying around someone.. *The biggest one in the pink
parka is not all right<G>
We don't need to swing and spin so fast that we throw someone off at the
end of the line. NOPE! *The way to play is for the person in the center to
hold the hand of the person on the end of the former line...
Linked hand in hand.. or arm in arm... we throw our heads back and
enjoy the game togather.... *just fast enough for all..to play, and slow
enough to hang on...
