I think that this idea is just totally awesome. Rangers needs to do
some growing. I have always said that Royal Rangers is a tool in which the
Lord uses. Even as I have assisted LTC for the past 3 years, the questions
always have come up with the way that some of our materials are written. We
have always encouraged the brothers who were from a non-Assembly church to
cater the situation to fit it to their need. Mostly it is the accountability
thing. The National Council cannot charter a non A/G church, but some
Districts do. Not all Districts do. Some Districts just started doing this,
according to my Sr. Guide at NTC. Many folks have noted that our mission
sort of shoots itself in the foot by catering exclusively to the children
involved in the local Assembly, and they ask well what about other
Pentecostal churches who basically believe in the same things that we do.
(What about the unchurched?) It was the accountability thing. Presently
there appears to be some sort of division, (please correct me if I am wrong
because I'm not in any way shape or form wanting to start anything that could
get misconstrued) a division between the Assemblies Rangers (This is only an
observation) and the Rangers who are of the IPHC.
Personally, I don't see any really big differences. We have all of the
same common denominators. As I have stated before, I believe that presently,
Rangers is pretty much universal anywhere you go. To my understanding, the
IPHC doesn't do anything differently than A/G folks do when it comes to
Rangers. We need to start as Rangers united. Satan loves division because he
knows a house divided against itself won't stand. I would love to see a new
fire for the folks in this area get lit in the Church of God. We have had 4
C/G churches in our Section hold charters right here locally. It is my prayer
for a move of the Spirit to rekindle their fires, to encourage, lift up our
Brothers. and also to pray not just for our work as Rangers, but the work of
our brothers at-arms like the AWANAS and the Christian Service Brigade. All
of whom I might add are out with an almost identical mission to ours. We are
not out to compete against them, as we have the same Master. Just like the
military all branches all answer to the President. As the message in
Ecclesiastes said, "For everything there is a time and place." I believe
that the time is near and the place will be here to stand up for Jesus. Not
Our will, but God's be done.
Let's let our light shine and not keep it under our hats.
God Bless,
Iron Mike
