1.  All email attachments should be treated as suspect unless you 
    know the sender well.  Even then (as Happy99.exe demonstrated)
    this may not be sufficient.

2.  The VBS virus "Bubble Boy" does not need to be highlighted to
    get you.  Simply opening the email in Outlook will do it.  This
    is the first time that this has been true.  Somebody posted the
    source code for it on a BBS, so expect more of this variety.
    On the bright side, Microsoft has released a patch for the affected
    programs that you can get at www.microsoft.com.

3.  The best way to prepare is to keep your virus checking software
    current.  This means downloading the new libraries or data
    files every week.  If your virus checker has an auto-update
    feature or an email list for updates, get on it.

4.  If you have no virus software you are on your own.  I will pray
    over your computer when it dies.
