You almost had me convinced that McCain might actually be better than my
governor, but not after seeing this news story.
"McCain Lashes Out at Christian Coalition
Sen. John McCain condemned conservative Christian leaders today and lashed
out at his rival, Texas Gov. George W. Bush, for accepting their support. In
a Virginia Beach speech, McCain said leaders Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell
were intolerant, divisive and un-American. In another story, California
voters won’t get a preview of an upcoming televised debate between McCain and
Bush. McCain, who is way behind Bush in California polls, canceled a
scheduled debate Thursday in Los Angeles. The two GOP rivals are due to
square off Sunday on NBC’s Meet the Press."
