> > McCain Lashes Out at Christian Coalition
*mis-statement! Mc Cain wants the Christian Coalition to look at his 17 year
Reagan conservative record of pro life pro family... fiscal conservative
votes...
and his work on ridding the Internet of pornography and the government, of
special interest and favors brought by "soft money"..
A 90 year old Grandmother has hiked to the Capitol for the same message..
*Special Intrests is sealing our elected officials from their sworn duty!
Congressman Linda Smith (rep.) and member of Glad Tidings AoG church
was elected by *write-in on the ballot..
(This means amazingly that she did not campaign.. but was asked to go to
Washington
a representative of southwest Washington state.. *very rare!)
*She said:
"I had thought I was there to work for the people, but it became clear that my
fellow congressmen had other agendas.. that of re-election and personal power
building.. *I was told I would host "informal get-togethers" across the street in
rooms reserved for me. *I refused! ...these get-togethers were how the lobbyists
gained favor and contributed to congressional re-election funds... I thought it
un-ethical and below my standards of integrity.."
The former Missionet continued...
"I'm now running for the USenate and you may hear some disinformation
about me. It may come from areas that mat surprise you.. but be clear..
My Integrity is paramount to party allegiance. Speaker Gengrich called me
to a meeting to remind me that good republicans follow the leader... I asked if
that meant taking special interest Moines that I had refused to take.. and he
replied.. that everyone who would be elected would."
Rep. Linda Smith republican was defeated...
*Special Intrest say that Sen>McCain is: "stealing away the republican
nomination-"
Read this-
Sen.McCain in Virginia said:
"I am a proud conservative, who has faith in the people I serve. But to those who
purport
to be defenders our our party, but in reality have lost the confidence in the
republican message are attacking me, they are people who have turned good causes
into business."
"Let me be clear! evangelical leaders are changing America for the better.
(*Snip- kudos to Chuck Colsen and Dr.Dobson, and Gary Bauer)
I am pro-life,pro-family and a fiscal conservative and advocate of a strong
defense, and yet pat Robertson,Jerry Fallwell call me an unacceptable
presidential candidate.
They distort my pro life record and smear the reputations of my supporters...
Why?
Because I will not pander to them... *I believe in the cause of conservative
reform.
*I believe we will prevail in the battle of ideas, un-spoiled by the taint of a
corrupt campaign finance scheme that works against the very reform of government
that is the object of our labors. The Republican party will prevail because of
our principals---
That's what it is about my friends... principals not special intrest-empire or
ego..".
quote J.McCain-
*Go to the CBN websight and read Pat Roberson declare that *Viet-nam was a
"quagmire" that America should never have been involved with...
What of our commitment to freedom? to our word.. our allies?
What of the 54,000 men that died?
What of Royal Ranger Mitch Silvers?
Was it a "lost cause- or a Nobel cause?"

Rep.Linda Smith is the only elected official I've personaly known.. Her views
of campaign finance reform have powerfully effected me.. *But more to my heart
is McCains message about virtue and Leadership.
It's very much one thing to claim to be a leader and gather aclaim...but another
one entirely to demonstrate courage, and resolve while a captive of the enemy.
Then... be asked by Barry Goldwater of Arizona to become his replacement.
*That's John McCain!
I personally was alienated by Mr. McCain. He shot off his mouth doing thevery
thing that he was complaining about. I am not normally a bandwagon
> person who is a follower of Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell but I didn't feel
> it was an attack against those men in particular, it went deeper than that,
*Perhaps he sences the "evil" forces that would bind and blind true patriots in a
narrow view of the issues and ignore the party of Ronald Reagan in building
bridges,
of Theodore Roosevelt (*Bully!) in opposeing special intrest... and the party of
Abraham Lincon and not Bob Jones..
>
> no I'm not a fan of Bob Jones either, I felt that McCain's remarks were aimed
> Christians in general not just those two men. I feel that with words like
> that that yes he is being just as divisive as he says he isn't. Those are
> fighting words. I feel that my beliefs as a Christian were attacked and I
> have lost my interest in supporting him.
*That's too bad...
I want my son to serve under a true patriot, a defender of freedom and honor.
Sen. McCain has returned to Viet-Nam and met his captors and forgive'n the past!
On the floor of Congress he embraced a man who reportedly was the instrument of
torture to many American prisioners.. they called him "the bug"...
Fellow POW Pete Peterson has returned to Hanoi as US envoy to make way for
further return and recording of the 2,050 MIA's and Sen.John McCain is working to
build simular bridges to out former enemy. The American viet-vet needs this
message
of restoration and faith, and triumph...
We have left men behind!
> These men are all claiming ties to
> some denomination somewhere, but they are all politicians.
*Secular leadership often is refered to as politics.. we have it in the church as
well as even here on Rangernet<G> You are a politician an so am I... *I work for
improveing the program and for the boys... the Patrol... for "meaning" in this
Royal Ranger experiance.
*But even here... we trip over the "Ministry" portion of our work.. this is
because we
have a secular duty as well as a *spirtiual obligation to do right by the boys..
to
speek of bettering the advancement program is NOT to diminish the alter work..
And to be so *spiritual as to ignore the flesh...is wrong!
