With the reasons you give, every red blooded American should vote for George
Bush. Both the reasons you give are tied to the economies prosperity that
all Americans are not enjoying. The welfare rate is tied to the
unemployment rate. They are positively correlated. When one goes up, so
does the other. Schools have improved due to the new allocations of monies
by congress. That and the face that the people of America are putting a
higher value on education. I am worried that George junior will sell off
the rest of the country that Ronnie and George senior didn't. How quick you
forget the free trade agreement (NAFTA) that President Clinton signed when
he became president. This was negotiated by George senior's administration.
It was all a done deal and the only reason George senior didn't sign it was
because of his upset. How many of your jobs in Texas have moved "south of
the border". How many of your manufacturing plants have closed down due to
the free trade agreement? Why, if you are doing so good, are you trying to
ban Mexican trucks from crossing the border? I cannot remember the last
year (or quarter) that we had a positive Import/export number to add to the
GDP. Yes, I was real happy to loose a fine paying job to Mexico and China.
Thank you Mr. Bush and Mr. Ragan. For the children that are working for 10
cents an hour in these sweatshop countries, I also thank you.
Keith Brooks
