Thank you for your kind notes and prayers. When I got the phone call in the
middle of the night, Rangernet was the first place I turned. I don't have a
lot of details yet, but the surgery went well. David has a metal plate in
his arm, and they didn't have to do the bone graft. Recovery is expected to
take anywhere from three to six months; no idea how his arm will function
then. Because he was on active duty with the Army when the accident
happened, he will remain on active duty until his arm is completely healed.
I leave this morning to go to Ft. Lewis and bring him home. I will get my
first chance to talk to the doctor then.
