>WHen did Jesus wave His arms at people and have them start jerking?<
I don't know, but I do know that it is in the word that so man miracles were
performed that they could not all be contained within the Bible, and the Lord
said that we "would perform greater miracles than these."
Edward, it is quite obvious that you don't approve. That's OK. You are in
alignment with our former Pastor. A dear dear man, William Sipes. He
believed in controlling the Spirit if someone gave a Holy Ghost shout they
were reprimanded (maybe not the first time but eventually).
I however, believe in letting the move of the Spirit control me. I know
that when I must I can control the Spirit and there have been times when
Pastor Cody says "this is all so wonderful, you can shout all you want but
when the shouting's done I am going to preach." Then we take control and pay
head to Pastor.
God works with everyone in different ways and that too is OK. I believe
you are happy with what you have. But I also know that I am happy with what
we have. I have had the controlling and it didn't satisfy me (that does not
mean it is bad I know). Now when I go home from services I am compelled to
open my Bible to seek learn and grow more than I ever have. That cannot be a
bad thing. If what God is doing to me and through me is causing me to seek
him more truly and deeply it can't be bad.
In the last month so much has changed in my spiritual life. I
continually pray "Lord crucify my flesh, get rid of all you have no use for.
Make me the woman you would have me be. Give my husband the Godly wife he
deserves and desires. Give my children the mother they deserve. I used to
pray for finances and other less important things. Now my prayer focus is on
having God prepare me and the body he has placed myself and my family in.
There is a mighty move taking place and just as we must get our bodies in
shape I must get my spiritual self in condition to perform whatever task God
puts before me.
The theme find our body for about six months has been to praise the Lord and
worship him for with our praises we are building his mercy seat among us.
The Lord blessed me with a vision about two months ago, I was next to him
looking down and I could see the body in the Spirit building a beautiful seat
and the Lord said it is almost ready and it looks comfortable and it looks
good. It was a confirmation for me.
I truly long for the Holy Spirit to always be with us to not have to pray
"Come Holy Spirit." It is a blessing that I can pray "Come," but I'd much
rather say I know you are here.
I am glad for you. You will reach people I will never reach. Likewise I
will reach people you will never reach. This way we can cover more of the
battleground. We are different divisions of the same army.
God bless you continually in all you do.
In Christ's blessed name,
Kelly
