>But reflect on which is "more important"
Yes, reach the boys is important not reaching numbers.
My son also has he GMA.
And, I talked him about the program being made easier he said "Lets not
dumpy-down Ranger just like the school system just for numbers" also states
"I don't want to be part of a program that reaches number and not hearts."
I agree with him because I have seen what lowering school requirements has
done for the boys in our outpost. We have had to start reading and math class
on Saturdays because they cannot read their Bibles, even NIV, and they cannot
figure out simple a compass course for distance compared to their stride.
If you read all my e-mail the duty the young man Chuck from our outpost of
the 26 we be finishing boot camp and studying to become a Chaplain. I think
God and Duty is important and he was grounded in the Word of God because of
Rangers. And I made in to Life Scout I and God fearing country and was NEVER
told the Jesus died for me. Yes, Some Boy Scout Troops are church backed but
Rangers require it.
I do pray for the scout and the problems them are having. But Boys Scout
pulled themselves from under the covering of the church.
Maybe if they did not I would have been introduced to Christ before I was 21
years old and I would not have lost so much time to work for the ministry.
