I don't think campaign reform is high on anybody's list (maybe it should be).
According to poll data, campaign reform is no higher than 14th or 15th on
people's list of priorities, whether the pollsters were talking to Dems or
Reps.
At 14th/15th, campaign reform is gonna lie dead in the water for awhile.
While I may agree with your sentiments, I think reality is going to force
the issue to the back burner. Maybe 2002? And I really hope you are
wrong about the erosion of his values. Of course, a stalemate with an
evenly divided Congress may force him to be somewhat pragmatic in his
approach...
