Sorry, if I dare to ask, but is THAT your role model? A commander sitting in
a chair an drinking a coke while the rangers are working?
I like the idea of boy leadership very much and I really would like to
introduce it more and more to my outpost. But I don't think the picture you
are painting here is the role model I want to be.
In the army we had the system of leading "in front". That doesn't mean the
commanders were an elite, an example for their soldiers. No, it meant the
commander was right there where his soldiers were.
That is the role model I want to be. Let Senior Guide direct the camp setup.
But be there. Work with them, give them a hand, be a member of their team.
