What better way is there to get your boys interested in advancements than to
see new awards on their commander's uniform? The boys will see the award and
ask what that is. Your reply is that you are earning awards just like they
need to.

Yes, the Leaders Service Award will be around after the changeover. Keep up
with the points and earn that award and wear it proudly.

I never keep track of points for my "service"
because I'm of the opinion that your good turns
should be silent. If in fact *Ministry is more
important than *Program then we must stand ready
as in standing a watch on a ship... to be used.

This implyes remaining Alert while being silent.

Yes..

*If numbers and counting are important.
I don't think they are. "Leading" another to Christ
means more.. it means discipleship, mentoring, being
there as a whitness and on-going big brother in the Lord
to the boy... *Each are worth your life!

The hands raised may be genuine.

My point is that we need to forget ourselves.. and look at it
from the boys perspective. My very best example is when
PFC Mitch Silvers on his last night home went to Cdr. Hank
Cole to make sure his heart was right with God!

Cdr.Hank acted in *ministry, to lead Mitch to assurance and
faith in Christ and the result was his "knowing" in his "Knower"
that he was washed in the blood, forgiven and Saved!

I understand you didn't personally lead the boy to

*Ministers do this all the time.
Your "devotion" was a sermon.. your "prayer" was an alter call..

Then keep records, or be "Known" as a Soul Reacher!
