Clint my first experience was at my LTC campout 5 years ago. Sr.
Guide was screaming at my face because I have a natural grin and he wanted it
off my face. He just got back from NTC.
There were a lot more kind acts like that in this campout. A 4 page
letter went to Paul Stanek with a meeting with our Church Staff and District
Staff where a review board went over the weekend facts and District Staff stated
they got a little out of hand. I have well over 5 witness to these
facts. A brand new pastor I talked with 5 weeks after this campout
he said after the LTC campout he wasn't going to have RR in his church.
Ouch!
In the past 2 years I have met and talked with National Staff personally on
this issue. They realize the 30% failure rate for the class is a failing grade
by almost every standard. At this time they are working very hard to get
the new RR material out. So NTC failure is not a high priority at this
time. Hopefully it will be one day.
A great man who is honest and I respect very much. I called him
before I signed up to NTC. He said officially it is a camp that is like
boot camp you will learn a lot of advanced camping skills and learn to camp in a
patrol. I said that is good. Now tell me your personal
opinion.
He said if you have someone you don't like in your outpost encourage them
to go.
One of the men in our church who is our Church Treasurer went to this camp
years back he shook his head and said they were nuts.
I don't read anywhere in God's Word the Bible where Jesus used humiliation
to inspire his followers. He is the Healer not the inflictor.
Let's leave the inflicting to the Devil and adhere to Psalms 118:8 the
very center of the Bible.
Every year since that time I have served on LTC Staff in our
Division. We have taught our men in love and kindness and hard
work.
The ole devil still tries to inflict humiliation from time to time.
But he is under my feet and I stomp on him when his ungodly face shows up.
If what we are doing can not stand the test of God's Word then I challenge
myself to straighten up and live according to what Jesus taught.

For one thing, the satisfaction ratio is 75/25,
not 70/30. Why don't you try telling us what Jesus' satisfaction rate was,
since you got that WWJD slipped into your post. Then try to match His. If you
do, you will be ridiculed, lied about, and falsely accused alot more than NTC
ever has been, because, my friend, our Lord's satisfaction rate was not to
good according to the bible I've been readin'. First message He preached they
took Him to a cliff to throw Him off. When He hung on a cross there were alot
of people wagging thier heads at Him but no one took up for Him there. This
world was not too satisfied to have Him around. My point is that I won't give
you or anyone else two cents for your satisfaction or approval, it comes
from God. Try going around pleasing 100% of people all the time and you're
going to be in BIG trouble. You need to pay a little closer attention to
that Psalms 118:8, and practice what you're preachin'.
For another, I was JLTC in 1980 as a boy
and saw knotty there, so he just didn't happen to turn up here lately. That
old codger didn't bother me one bit 'cause I didn't let him close to me. I
will guarantee you one thing, though. I'd bet that JLTC in Louisiana was twice
as tough as any NTC you'll see today. And this 15 year old runt didn't go
crying home to mama, he went home a man.
For a third thing, these national camps have been around longer than
most of us. They have been run by Spirit filled people, for the most part. (I
will let on that I have been to one or two that had staff on it that needed to
get saved). Let me ask you this: How much time have you spent on your knees
praying for these wayfaring NTC staff members, these perpetrators of such woe
and misery? And what did they say when you went to them first, like the Word
of God says, and confront them? And what did thier pastors say when, after you
did that, and they refused to repent, and you took with you two or three
witnesses? Certainly you, who know how many verses the are in the bible and
which one is in the middle, would have followed these steps as laid out there
before you had to resort to this last step, and accuse these brethren before
the entire world.
If these camps are the scandle that some
of you make them out to be, where is 20/20, Nightline, Primetime, 48 hours,
and all these people the devil uses to make a mockery of the Christian faith?
Maybe he has them on more important assignments than to tear down the
Christian church because the Christian church is doing that for him. You
people make me sick, who are talking about something in the Body of Christ
sounding fishy. Especially in your own fellowship. Right here on a list that I
would hope was created to help build this ministry, not tear it down.
We are supposed to be in a battle against the
enemy for souls. Now if I was in a foxhole with the enemy all around me, do
you think that you are the kind of person I would want watching my back in a
spiritual battle?

Sounds kinda fishy doesn't it. Seems Knotty is in our
JLTC and boys camps as well. It makes you wonder what else they order
people not to talk about. Shamefull. They are teaching some
things at NTC, because they are turning up in our Advancement and JLTC
and LTC campouts. NTC camps have a 70% satisfaction rate. The
other 30% consider NTC less than satisfactory. I learned this last
week that Spotty used to be at the JLTC camp. You know his
cousin of
course.
Spending 2 1/2 days miss treating someone out of 3 day
campout to show them how not to treat boys...what can you expect.
Don't know that Jesus ever did that. I challenge anyone to comeout
into the light. If it will stand that test then it will stand for
what is right. No need to hu up or order
anyone to keep it under their arm pit.
Jesus said the GREATEST of
these is LOVE. I will stand to attention on that one.
Did
you know that the center of the bible is Psalms 118. Shortest Verse is
Psalms117 Longest Verse is Psalms 119 There are 594 Chapters before
Psalms 118 There are 594 Chapters after Psalms 118 Add these numbers
up and you get 1118 What is the center verse in the Bible: Psalm
118:8 "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in
man" WWJD
