Thanks guys - The "Qualified" person is not a problem, as we have one standing in the wings, he teaches the CHP and other law enforcement officers.  I'm looking for what to have him teach.

I know of the Daisy book and can get my hands on a copy as well as the special BB Guns.  From what I saw in the sample copy, it would take several evenings or at least most of a day to cover.

The District is requiring each section to have a BB GUN Shoot.  We started planning it then found we had only a handful of boys at best that would be qualified to do it.  Since our lead time is short we opted for the Firearms Safety Merit to teach on that day instead of doing the actual Shoot.  I understand the Ranger Merit is easier to teach and less involved.  Then we would put on the calendar and plan to teach the full blown Daisy course next year , well in advance of our BB Gun Shoot.

The Merit may be in the Discovery or Adventure workbooks.  Unfortunately the leader is out of town for a few days that gave me that information, so will continue beating the bushes to get my hands on a copy.
