Just bring back the talk of how you guys were re-building your own car from
a junker. Or even keep it at gas prices. I just don't understand why it
always degenerates into the spam it does. It disheartens me to know a
ranger list that is as old at rnet is as vacant as it is because of that
kind of talk. Where are all the Marks out there who actually can email
about their recent pics of ranger trips? Or talk of derby racing and ROTY?
Who wants to? You want to know why there isn't anyone? Because they lurk
for the first few weeks and all they see is the talk thats going on and then
its right to the unsubscribe url. Why can't everyone do Rangernet a favor
and return it to what it should be?

See this is the problem Duane, This is a Ranger list. People join it to
email about RR, not to have spam about the president or people getting
phone wires taped to their genitals. That kind of talk has no place in a
group where anyone or more importantly any "boy" signs up to discuss
things about the Ranger ministry. Free speech is a great thing and I'm
glad of it so I can say this now. But man, have some of that respect you
are speaking about and put it towards the other people that lurk and
every once and a while actually post about things ranger on this list.
Its "Ranger"net, not "anything we care to disagree about til people are
sick of getting the emails"net.

Rangernet was never moderated since it's start up in 1995
because there was a strong conviction that free speech would free open
communication.
*Many times Rangers have found themselves in a box with
no windows to view the passing parade. Free speech shows
all the warts, bumps and true nature of folks.. Free speech to
me has had an element of "Kartharsis" as Rangernet has been
a daily companion, in better days.
Rangernet is nothing but our strokes on a keyboard, and thus
our cyberworld is but words.. *That said, my best friends in the
world have passed thu Rangernet.
Feel free to bad mouth the conversation, *This is one Royal Ranger
who's very proud of the space to have a say... among friends.
*I love and miss my friends, and to the rest: *Fair thee well..
*I have a repete pattern set up, that points out MORALE as the
index of effective Leadership. *Say we are all in a dory on the
Ocean..
In time, I'm sure we can all pull togather, because that makes sence to
all our intrests.. But Rangernet shows over the years that Men come
with a wide and varied view of "direction"... That keys up my second
repete phrase about *RESPECT for each other, even though as a matter
of conviction we choose to disagree.
Via con Dios!

Hey Boss, er... Eddie! Long time no see!
Whilst we are ripping on the state of affairs here, it's all the more
of a reason to extend an invite to head on over to me and Eddie's hang
out </shameless rf plug>, and on the other hand, I have always wondered
why this list was never moderated. It would probably take care of most
of the nonsense, but I guess the motto around here is "If it ain't
producing radioactive waste, don't fix it!"...

My thoughts exactly. I find myself deleting almost every email that
comes thru rangernet more often than not. No wonder there is always
so many emails asking if Rnet is down. No one cares to email to a
group that talks in this fashion. You guys are the death of this
email group.
