Tweak on my brother!  The Carbon Copy feature from [email protected]  to Encouragement and discussion for Royal Rangers had me wondering what was going on for a little while.  I was also automaticly unsubscribed at one time when my mail server went through a upgrade and were having some teck problems.  I just resubscribed as you recomended.  Just found that each time something like this happens we loose folk and some of those folk are thicker skinned than me and you and they don't know what to do to get back on the list.
It is a balancing act, for sure. The automatic unsubscribes are normally a very good thing, keeping us off of blacklists and saving server load that does nothing productive, but they can be a pain, too. At least we have made a lot of progress from the Majordomo command line lists that choked on HTML email...
I have had a few folk in Springfield that were being filtered due to the CATV company had Rangernet on their spam list.  I told them to call the CATV company up and if they didn't want to allow this mail to flow to them they could switch to AT&T broadband so they could get their Somo Rangernet mail.  GRIN!  Funny thing is it started working for them.  The CATV Company at first told them they needed to talk to you to submit a letter to get removed from the spamers list...They did what I told them to do and boom bamb baby its' working again!!
In general, ISPs don't care about email senders, who don't pay them, but they do care about their customers, who do pay for service.
The list server is doing a great work here in Southern Missouri. We do appreicate your good help behind the sceens getting it all to work.  They think I am the genious....I tell them it's really MPJ!   Just another Jesus Pleasing Rompin Stomping Royal Rangering Missionary Bible Translator Software and many hat wearing Missionary whom I have never met face to face but know him quite well due to Rangernet and I  have a lot of respect for.
I'm glad the somo list is working. :-) Thank you for the kind words. We appreciate you and the other Royal Ranger commanders and your service to the Lord, too. :-)

My Missionary brother in law and his family are coming back from their 3rd term of 4 years each from the Phillipeins in 22 days and they wlll be with us for a year.  They bought the house 3 doors down yesterday site unseen (well my wife and brother in law and inlaws were the eyes)..(Missionaries have funny ways of doing things as you well know...grin)  My wife and her brothers and family are very close.
That sounds like quite a transition, coming up for them. I hope they have a good re-entry into the USA. Culture stress is an issue moving both ways, but having good family and friends around helps a lot. Take lots of time to listen to them, look at their pictures, and understand that they have really seen things from a different perspective. Having a place set up to move to helps. This last time we came to the USA from Papua New Guinea, we lived out of suitcases and wandered like nomads from June until September. Then, we rented a house that was for sale, until it sold, and we moved again in January. We then moved to the rental house we are in, now... and we move out at the end of this month and go back into suitcase mode until we get to our house in Ukarumpa on the 22nd of June. Yes, we have funny ways of doing things, indeed. Maybe next time we'll buy a house, too. :-)
Thanks MPJ for all you do for us and our Lord and King Jesus!
Thank you, too!
