Your commentary and real life experience re "Seputar fatwa MUI"
(Dec.19,2001), which
got into my Inbox from Rony Hartawan dan Nasirwan<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
through the rantaunet.com.
Your story ignited my conscience to congratulate you for what you
did to clear the air from lingering misunderstandings that affect
interactions and tolerance between followers of different Faiths.
What you did to JJ sets an excellent real-life example of Islamic
imperatives put to work. The way you and bro Achilov treated JJ
explains the true Aqidah.
The example is significant in light of the current conflict
situations in some parts of the world after the September 11 attacks on
WTC New York.
Foreign media seems to have drummed up worldwide controversies
and defined Islam as against the West. Bush made quotable statements to
justify the US and her Western Alliance war against Muslim countries.
I am a Muslim. But I did some readings about Judaism,
Christianity, Buddhism from the historical perspectives through the
internet to find out answers to why the Jews, which now seem to have
held Bush hostage, are so much against the Muslim countries.
Paul Wolfovitch, the former US ambassador to Indonesia,and now
deputy US defense minister, is reported to have influenced Bush along
the wrong direction in foreign policies after
the September 11 tragedy. Paul must be of Jewish origin.
Findings from the various web sites:
a) The Jewish lobby and Israel are working on a secret agenda to pitch
the West against Islam and Muslims "for the purpose of dragging the US
into a 'clash of civilization' conflict centering in the Middle East".
b) Since the time of Jesus Christ and later of Prophet Muhammad, the
Jews have had problems and begrudges against the Nashranies and Muslims.
As I understood, Prophet Isa was God ordained to discipline
the Jews so as to follow all that Moses had taught them in the Taurat
about the One God. King Saul, a Jew, who later emerged as Paul, an
Apostle, was understood to have mixed up the teachings of Moses with
those of the Roman paganism.
From my readings, all the Revelations, which were passed
down through Jibraeel (Gabriel, the Holy Ghost) to the 25 Prophets ---
Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim and Her sons -- Ishmail and Ishak---, Daud,
Sulaiman,Isa and finally Prophet Muhammad SAW, constitute a long chain
of Divine Revelations under One Allah's Grand Design for all mankind.
It's like a Great Book, which was passed down chapters by
chapters to each Messenger over time, and finally, compiled into a
final comprehensive Al-Kitab, the Al Qur'an.
The Jews claim Abraham was a Jew. But Allah says "Ibrahim
(Abraham) was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a true Muslim
Hanifa (Islamic Monotheism -- to worship none but Allah Alone) and he
was not of Al-Mushrikun" (Al-Imran: 67).
The key point that I wish to raise is that: if one reads
(tafsir & takwil) the Taurat, Zabur, Injil, Al Quran correctly, one
would likely come up with a conclusion that Islam, literally means --
total submission to the One and Only God, Allah -- was the key message
in all the Al-Kitabs.
According to Islamic system of Faith, Jesus (Isa
Allaihissalam) is the Son of Virgin Mary(Mariam), the daughter of
Al-Imran. He's one of the God's Messengers, who will come back one day
to sort out the misconception about the Aqidah.
Now the major challenge is how to communicate all these
Truths to Mankind so as
each and everyone will strive to enhance his or her takwa and worship
the One of Only Allah and live happily on earth.
I read the 220 chapters of the Barnabas gospel, downloaded
from the
http://www.barnabas.net/. Under the order of the council of Nicea
(325 AD) and the church of St. Paul (The Roman Catholic), the Barnabas
Gospel and 300 other books in their possession were completely
destroyed.

Muslim scholars work for the foundation based in Mt. Pleasant, South
Carolina, USA.
You may go to the www.ais.com website,which is based in
Jerusalem, and pick up a series of crash course in history of Judaism
(164 chapters) by Rabbi Ken Spiro, more an historian than a Rabi. His
readings of the religion history sounds, in most parts, comparable to
what we know from reading the Al-Quran.
The Barnabas gospel was destroyed for the likely reasons
that its contents conformed with the original doctrine of La Illah
haillah.
Scholars like your good self would be in the best position
to communicate the Truths among the foreigners.
