> Well, the "H" was a shot in the dark; even though I knew it was the default, I was hoping it might change things, but it didn't. Oh, well. And the "W" was there because I understood it as "W"rite to a file as opposed to a mailbox. > > Where would I find such information on these flags? I've done google searches on'em and always come up empty. I see lots of examples, but no explanations of the flags. :( > > Thanks > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Brian Fahrländer Linux Zealot, Conservative, and Technomad > Evansville, IN My Voyage: http://www.CounterMoon.com > ICQ 5119262 > ------------------------------------------------------------------------
- man procmailrc for the whole lowdown on the flags - btw, W flag says to wait for the filter or program to finish and check the exitcode (like the "w" flag) but will suppress any 'Program failure' message. - If you want to output messages to a logfile for example, you assign a text string to the LOG variable. - An excellent resource that I have found very helpful is Martin McCarthy's "The Procmail Companion" (Pearson Education Limited publication).
