-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm certainly not saying switching away from the public servers is a good idea.
The kind of hash-based scoring razor does really works best when 10,000 people rather than 1,000 contribute, and only gets better with more users. Running your own server won't help all that much in the way of spam filtering. However, I do think the razor system could benefit from some sort of distributed scoring. If it is really taking 10 seconds to hash perhaps 60 kbytes of text then razor has hit its scalability limit, and needs work. - --Michael -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (NetBSD) iD8DBQE/1f58l6Nz7kJWYWYRAu/kAJ4kaRcJsffpA2RzLV7QuufX2uoVaQCaAzOe ayEbr105UR8H3X8idAhLkFQ= =4ICU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials.
