Jan, Here is a snippet of code I use to open a Google map with directions contained in the vFrom and vTo variables, each formatted as: 111 Main St, City State Zip. I collect the From and To addresses using a form which has buttons with Google and MapQuest options.
The code below is for Google RECALC VAR vFrom, vTo SET VAR vTo = (SRPL(.vTo,', ',',',0)) SET VAR vTo = (SRPL(.vTo,',','+',0)) SET VAR vTo = (SRPL(.vTo,' ','+',0)) SET VAR vFrom = (SRPL(.vFrom,', ',',',0)) SET VAR vFrom = (SRPL(.vFrom,',','+',0)) SET VAR vFrom = (SRPL(.vFrom,' ','+',0)) -- This section is for Google Maps -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- SET VAR vpart1 TEXT = + 'http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=' SET VAR vhtml TEXT = (.vpart1 + .vFrom + '&daddr=' + .vTo) -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --The next line will open the default Internet Browser LAUNCH .vhtml CLEAR VAR vhtml RETURN Your default browser will open with the goggle maps with directions from the address in vFrom to the address in vTo; you could modify it to open the Google directions in a Web Browser within the form.
