Hmmmm.... good point, other programs just might look at c:\temp. I'm not sure
it would need to be AV checked if they were legitimate apps, but I suppose a
virus could write to c:\temp perhaps??

Other applications may be taking advantage of the local temp directory.
I took care of this issue by creating a temp directory D:\XX dedicated for only
those applications of my choosing:
D:\XX...D:\XX\RBASE...

Ah, good thought! Every user's scratch is set to the local C:\Temp directory.
I'll ask him to include that too

RBGXE_64.dll RBGXE_INS_64.dll From the P:\ directory,
exclude these 4 files. They are the database files themselves, THE most

Sophos makes everything work fine. They claim (but I cannot prove, not being
there and not knowing how Sophos works) that they have exclusions for the
entire directory that the RBase software is installed on (one shared server
directory) and the entire directory where the database is. I don't
understand a lot about AV. If everything for RBase is installed on the server,
I'm going to assume they have the AV running on both the server and all the
workstations, right? Are exclusions set up on both server and workstations?
Anyone else using Sophos and having it work okay or not? Thanks! Karen
