RBASE has been my true companion for 18 years (approx) and will be for 18 more! -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Bob Castanaro Sent: den 20 december 2002 19:47 To: RBASE-L Mailing List Subject: [RBASE-L] - PC Magazine Article Just read the database roundup in PC magazine and was quite disappointed that R:Base didn't get even a sidebar mention (I think it did in last year's issue). Looking at some of the other products, the only thing that I could see on the surface that R:base doesn't have was that one product was supposedly web enabled by itself. I know we have the Oterro / Tango solution and at least for my company, I will be trying to learn more about it this year. As far as the rest of the article, I was glad to see Access was not the editor's choice again. It may be full featured but cannot compare to the development ease that the current version of R:base has, and as Razzak's comparison notes, you have to use a 3GL to really do the fancy stuff. Let's hope RB7 is next years choice.
