Stephen,
Our network people couldn't figure it out. The answer I got was "It is a
Novell issue". So, once the session starts we are fine.

Myron,

Just an after thought. Can you make any recommendations to me to suggest
to
my network support provider in regards on what to look for.

Stephen,
The issue isn't the number of users. Have you network person look at the
print server setup.

Myron,

Interesting, this seemed to work but have a low number of users on
network.
Will have to bench mark this with more users on to see if this is truly
effective.

Now the big question if this works. Why does it? What is the root cause.

I love mystery but I have had too much of late.

Steve,
Take a look at the default printer that windows is using. If it is
network printer it could be the cause of the delay. Set a local printer
as the default and see what happens.

Has anyone experienced any problems with accessing Rbase with windows
xp.

We are currently using Rbase v6.5+ 1.839xRT03

The start up file is below:

path r:\rbasecfg\sblaptop;c:\rbdos65;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND
r:
cd\rbase\rbdata
rbase -c -r break.app

Once initiated the application will hang for 60-120 seconds or longer
and
then finally go into the application. This can also happen on exit. When
exiting and this hang occurs the application works great but if anyone
else
exits Rbase to windows also they hang until the xp machine releases.
This
does not occur 100% of the time or every day. It is intermittent.

We are using mostly windows 95 (98%) in our current operation but as we
put
in new machines we are having to up grade to newer windows versions. In
addition to the 95 machines we have 4 98 and 1 xp machines.
