I have Pro. The thing that sucks is that so far little of the software
or hardware that was working on my Win98 machine is working on my
XP machine. Finally got my ZIP drive to work after downloading new
Iomegaware (it actually worked, but an Iomega menu would come up
when I booted up but it was blank so I could not disable the menu.
Tried taking it out with MSConfig and it locked my computer up).

My PCAnywhere won't install, my Compuserve won't install, WinFax
won't install, LapLink won't install (that's why I needed the ZIP
drive to transfer files). I haven't tried Office 97 yet, but I
expect that won't work either? Alot of people here seem happy
with XP Pro. Did you not have to install Win98 software? I wonder
if I'm going to spend as much on software upgrades as I did on
the computer!

Thanks for that heads up, Javier. I see yet more $$$ I have to spend.
I was shocked to see no PS2 port and thought -- need to buy PS2/USB
adapters!
I think I may go your route, buy one USB keyboard and a wireless mouse.
I suppose I have to be real sure I get a wireless mouse that I know will
interface with my Toshiba? I don't use my serial port, luckily, so I
guess
I won't miss that. Luckily this laptop has 3 USB ports.
