1. Yes you can use modem to modem. I use the internet as the backbone.
Internet is free(but not a s secure). Also if you internet you will need to
open the port to allow the connection.

2. You can optimize you settings for the connection speed that you have in
the remote desktop options.

3. I have not done file transfers yet. So I do not know. If there is a will,
there is a way.

4. I only have XP pro but I heard it is also on XP home.

The only downside I have found is that you can not watch what the other
person is doing.

2) If using the iNet, does this require a broadband connection?
3) Are file transfers done as in PCA, or are drives mapped and files copied?
