I don't recall exactly how I did it, but I set up a DUN for Worldnet on my XP no problem. I just clicked on Add a New Connection and let my fingers to the, er, typing. (This is the wizard, of course.)
If you work through the wizard, does your modem show up when you do properties on the resulting connection? If you do My Computer/Hardware/Device Manager, does the modem show up? Do properties on the modem; is it enabled and status show it is working properly?
