They are a business and that's what you do in business. The object of the game
is to make money. You talk like its your parents forcing you eat your pea's.
You still have choices.

Thats how you set standards. And whats wrong with that? You cant tell me that
you don't have some standards of your own when you develop a business program
(a look or feel that you think is the best and you think everyone should use. I
may look at it and think it Sucks) Just think if the standard for storing a
program was still on punch cards. I just dont get this kind of thinking. Can
you just imagine what the next ver of rbase could be like without microsoft
standards.
Rbase 7.0 for Netware 3.12
RBase 7.0 for Netware 4.0+
RBase 7.0 for linux
RBase 7.0 for BeOS
RBase 7.0 for FreeBsd
Bbase 7.0 for Geo Works
Rbase 7.0 for PC Dos
Rbase 7.0 for Unix
Rbase 7.0 for DrDos
so on and so on and so on and THEY ALL WOULD SUCK

I don't understand how you can even develop software with that kind of thinking

Unable to use or Unwilling to learn???
