They are a business and that's what you do in business. The object of the game
is to make money. You talk like its your parents forcing you eat your pea's.
You still have choices.

I wanted to stay out of this, but I just couldn't.

The important thing to recognize in business is that while you may have your own company,
you are NOT self-employed. You do have a boss and that boss is your customer. If you
neglect the needs of your customer, or force them to think as you do because you know
they have nowhere else to go, you will lose in the end. Reason...we live in a capitalistic
society and not a dictatorship. Therefore, if you think that you can intimidate your customer
into your way of thinking because their options are limited, they will create their own options.
That is the foundation of America, and that is why we are as successful as we are.

I think this is the point intended (forgive me Bernie if I am being presumptuous).

The other comment that I have is yeah, everyone is out to make a living and a profit, but at
whose expense. Truly successful business people know that forcing competitors out of
business by creating a monopoly is short term profit. It could be argued that Microsoft has
been here for almost 20 years, but everything is relative. Remember, ALL monopolies and
dictatorships crumble...just ask Saddam Hussein, if you can find him.
