I cannot comment nor suggest anything here. The exact same thing happened to me on two computers. I have two systems that I use. One is Dual Boot XP-Primary and w/Vista and the other is Dual Boot Vista-Primary and w/XP. Both got/received probably the same update you received about one or two days ago. Mine I applied Thursday. I was in fact on this laptop and used RBase and logout (of RBase) and went back in and the Activation was gone. I am not sure what caused it and am still looking. So I guess - Did you apply the recent updates?

How did you log into the pc as administrator or another user. That has happened to me on my Vista lap top. If I log in as administrator I need the product key even though when installing I checked anyone can use it on this computer.
