Jan, Have not used zip before but would this work ? zip C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Ecel.exe Any Example would be appricated Steve And yes plans are to convert by middle to end of next year. Lots of planning to get this done.

Are you trying these commands using R:BASE 6.5++ for DOS? If yes, LAUNCH command is NOT supported in 6.x for DOS. What is the QUOTES character setting for your CONNECTed database?
