David,
I have one client with one MAC workstation running Parallel Desktop (among several PC workstations, server is PC based (OS: XP )) running in R:BASE 7.5 (WIN) without any problem. It's been a few years since initial set up, but my recollection: in parallel desktop (Windows) on the Mac it was straight forward, target/set working directory, etc. no different than PC's. -Brad Davidson From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Blocker Sent: Tuesday, April 14, 2009 9:13 AM To: RBASE-L Mailing List Subject: [RBASE-L] - Subject: Running R:Base 7.5 or 7.6 on MAC s with OS 10 and Parallel Desktop Hi all I have a client that would like to run R:Base (now 7.1, upgrading to 7.5 or 7.6) on MAC workstations using OS 10 and the program "Parallel Desktop". John at RBTI says they have no experience at their office, but says some of you have. If you have run R:Base 7.1, 7.5 and/or 7.6 in such an environment, I'd like to hear of your experiences and if there are any special steps you needed to take to make it work. Thanks!
