I don't know but it fixes the black image problem for me.

If it is not checked, sometimes the image will print fine and other times it
prints the black box.

Jan and Dan,

I have the same problem at one of my accounts. It may only happen once or
twice per month and I have never been able to find the cause. I just
checked and direct draw was not "checked" but it is now. I sure hope that
resolves the problem. What does direct draw do ?

I make sure direct draw is checked on the image. Then the image prints fine.

Group,

I seem to remember a discussion about this a while back but I don't have
access to my archive.

I have an image on a report. Ocassionally this image will print as a dark
blotch. So there may

be 35 pages that print fine, 2 with a dark spot, 15 fine, 3 with dark spot,
etc.

This image has the following properties;

Center

MaintainAspectRatio

Stretch

Any ideas appreciated.
