I don't know but it fixes the black image problem for me. If it is not checked, sometimes the image will print fine and other times it prints the black box. Dan

It may only happen once or twice per month and I have never been able to find the cause. I just checked and direct draw was not "checked" but it is now. I sure hope that resolves the problem. What does direct draw do ? I have an image on a report. Ocassionally this image will print as a dark blotch. So there may be 35 pages that print fine, 2 with a dark spot, 15 fine, 3 with dark spot, etc. This image has the following properties; Center MaintainAspectRatio Stretch Any ideas appreciated. Jan
