Gary,

I have received this error at times. You may want to right click on the
file itself, go to Properties, then the General tab and make sure it is
not a read only file.

Sometimes a file will come through like that.

Jim

I guess including the message would have been a good idea...

" ...file.xls exists but is not a storage object."

Thanks

Subject: [RBASE-L] - XLS Load Error Message

Has anyone run across the following error message when loading and XLS
spreadsheet?

I am receiving documents from a new web site and cannot get RBase to
load either the XLS or CSV format. The XLS format issues the above
message while the CSV format causes the system to hangup.

Any ideas on what I should be looking for????

Thanks

Gary
