Acrobat keeps part of itself in memory to lessen the load time.

We do a lot of pdf's and I found the best way to deal with them is the
launch, some files, particlarly large ones took forever.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - PDF viewer

I am trying to use the PDF viewer to allow an operator to preview PDF files
that are stored in a folder. Currently, I am opening the files by launching
Adobe reader but it would be nicer to open and view in RBASE. The viewer
works fine on small PDF files of 10 - 50 KB but when I hit a file that is
700 KB and larger it takes forever to open (over 30 seconds). When I open
the same large file with Adobe PDF reader it opens instantly.

Is anyone using the viewer on large files? If so, does it take a long time
to open large files?
