32 or 64

In my opinion, the only reason to choose 32 is if you need to cross-connect 
database with programs running in 7.6 or earlier.  In that case, you cannot use 
64, since it upgrades the structure of the database files.

If you are not concerned about accessing the same databases from earlier R:Base 
products, 64 bit will allow you to have larger data files and offers some other 
benefits (longer identifiers, larger row sizes, large column and expression 
sizes).  In that case, I'd definitely use 64.

However, you should take that with a grain of salt, since I've never 
implemented any thing at clients in the 64 bit version since I ALWAYS have 
backwards compatibility to worry about.
