I've been having "computer problems" for that last month so haven't had a lot of time to do much in v9 other than keep data up to date.

It is good, though, in the latest release to see the Database Settings in the Data Dictionary so "thank you" Razzak for implementing this suggestion.

Regards,
Alastair.

Thank you Razzak.

I had half a thought that putting it in Data Dictionary might be even better?

Regards,
Alastair.

Come to think of it, it does raise another point: I couldn't check
from within TRACE what the setting for MESSAGES (in my case) was
without stopping and checking at the R:> then running trace again

a function key that displays the current settings at that precise
point in the program?

That is a very good idea, Alastair!

This will be implemented in the first official "Update 2", Build
9.0.2.106xx of the R:BASE eXtreme 9.0 (32/64), scheduled to be
released soon after the 2010 R:BASE eXtreme 9.0 SAT in New Zealand.

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
