You don't mention what version of DOS you're using. You can start by getting DOS 7.6 and then UNLOAD ALL under the DOS version you have, then rename the database, then start DOS 7.6 and run the file you created. Now you have a 7.6-compatible database and you can convert at your own speed.
There may be a few things to tend to, so you'll need to test the conversion, but as I recall our biggest issue was moving from * and ? wildcards to % and _ so we could do right and proper ODBC. Now, I haven't *seen* mention of DOS 9.x ... but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Emmitt Dove Manager, Converting Applications Development Evergreen Packaging, Inc. If there is a way to go directly from DOS and skip 2000 I would certainly like to know. May I ask why you stay with 7.6. Maybe it is an good idea to start with R:BASE 9.0 (32) or (64). Where can I find the most complete document on the forms/reports conversion process? 2. Taking the 1st step of converting from DOS to 2000, the fields in a dos region are still on the form, but not on the tiered region that was created. I tried dragging them there but that didn't work. What is the least labor intensive way to fix this kind of thing? Thanks Dennis McGrath
