Dennis,

the shortcut was correctly set. No problemo there.
It couldn't be started by clicking directly on the Rbase.exe in the RBTI dir.

Marc,

It would somehow surprise me if the problem would be caused by the AV in this
case.

Meanwhile, as de-installing and re-installing was not possible, I deleted the
RBTI dir and replaced it with an RBTI dir that I copied from another PC.
(there must have something wrong with one or more files, possibly even in the
installer itself.)

Now I can start Rbase up again.

The only issue that remains is that whenever I open a report in design or print
mode, Rbase crashes...even with the sample Rbases.

Any ideas on this one ?

I had something like this a week or 2 ago, I just updated to the latest AVG
Free. I Uninstalled AVG and the problem went away.
Now I am using another AV.

Did you try setting the shortcut to run the program maximized?

  Hi,

Since yesterday I have a problem with the Rbase installation on PC n° 4 (= my
troubled PC).

Although the Rbase Icons are visible on the desktop, when I click them
nothing seems to happen.

In task manager however, I can see that Rbase .exe is effectively running.

What could be wrong here ?

Some Windows setting ? Rights ?

I have have Rbase up and running on 4 other PC's without any trouble.

Using Win 7 and Rbase 9.0_64.
