Hi Razzak,
what I don't understand :
the database is located on a fileserver. each workstation has
Rbase installed and opens the database on the server.
So why does it work on 4 PC's and not on that specific one ?
Luc,
Here's what you need to understand:
Even if the same database is located on a file server, and, if
the R:BASE is running on a local workstation, the local (user)
windows environment and profile/configuration is used unless
you are using R:BASE in a Terminal Server/Citrix environment
where everything runs on the server.
When running R:BASE on a local machine/workstation, everything
must be configured accordingly, including security, permissions,
and the environment, such as SCRATCH setting, etc.
As previously mentioned, you are the ONLY one who knows about
your workstations, setup, configuration of this specific PC.
Why does everything work on other workstations and not on this?
What factor should automatically be eliminated? R:BASE!
Take time and compare the obvious differences, to narrow down
the exact problem with this specific workstation.
Hope that helps!
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.
