Interesting.

We are having a similar problem, but under Windows 7.
I checked that setting and it was unchecked so that won't help there.

One thing to look for is to go to the control panel and make sure that under
the power management area that you un-check
"Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

Local area network with Windows XP and 3 PC's and Rbase 7.1 Runtime
The server is a dedicated XP PC.
1 gb netgear switches.
With application running but idle, occasionally the dbfiles are mysteriously 
closed on one or more PC's. The PC's are all still mapped to the app folder on 
the server.
Network performance/speed seems to be fine.
Any ideas?
