I have had a problem that might be related. I use compiled apps that are
located on a mapped network drive. I have seen this on both XP and Windows 7.

The app will be running but idle. After a random period of time the application
will come up and say "cannot start application". You have to exit out and go
back in to use the compiled app again.

I reported it to RBTI but since it is a random thing they have not been able to
reproduce it.

  Dennis,

One thing to look for is to go to the control panel and make sure that under
the power management area that you un-check
"Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

    Subject: [RBASE-L] - Dropped connection

Local area network with Windows XP and 3 PC's and Rbase 7.1 Runtime
The server is a dedicated XP PC.
    1 gb netgear switches.
With application running but idle, occasionally the dbfiles are
mysteriously closed on one or more PC's. The PC's are all still mapped to the
app folder on the server.
Network performance/speed seems to be fine.
    Any ideas?

    TIA,
    Dennis
