All of our users are Windows

What is funny this guy promotes his software as easy to use, push 1 button and everything is done for you, 1 or 2 clicks and you can get to any part of the program you want, it's a total solution to all your needs.

.NET was the "future" of programming a few years ago; however, the nature of
programming is constantly evolving. Applications used to be developed for
LAN/WAN use, now they need to be Web, Cloud, tablet and smart phone
friendly. Today's golden boy programming environment might end up as
tomorrow's red headed step child.

The Cloud environment has been particularly over-hyped lately; however, I am
starting to read in tech. publications, that many early Cloud adoptees are
stepping back as the shortcoming of the environment, particularly security,
are becoming more evident.

And if you read industry info lately, .NET may be in it's twilight years
already.

This nightmarishly bloated library would never work in the tablet / phone
environment and lately, MS has said they are going to spend a couple
billion
dollars to spiff up their C++ development environment (WinC is its'
moniker)
to attract developers back to that language. They have already stopped
further meaningful development on VB.NET in favor of C#.

MS is a little schizoid at the moment. Look for some changes at the top
of
the company in the coming months.

Many of you may remember that my x distributor was trying to write my app
in
SQL Exp and Dot Net Framework. They started in Mar 2007 and below are
some
comments for our customers that have tried the other "improved" program.

As you can see by my other thread, if I can "fix" my other issue (that
only
involves a small % of our users) I have a great opportunity to leave the
Dot
Net program in the dust.

The x distributor says he spent 2 million building this dream program...
LOL
.. I could have sold him my code for 1.5 mill
Also, he asked for my source code to so he could have another programmer
update the look and feel in Jan 2007, then a month later he starts pre
selling he new program... what a cheese ball.

I don't want to sit here and rip on it too much, BUT... Reports and
financials do not even print the date they are for on them; only the date
you printed. We got the software in Sept started running in Nov. We were
promised errors and things would be fixed by Christmas with updates,
didn't
happen that way. The update didn't come until the new year. With the last
update they changed how the accounting worked and now it runs as side by
side program, which works ok for me cause I keep two computer screens
running side by side. Even so though, if I add a new patient in the
non-accounting side, I have to completely close the accounting software
before the patient will be added to accounting side. They have major
issues
with being able to make corrections to claims, if say an accident occurred
while billing, I have to resort to the last software and submit the
corrected claim that way. Which is really sad, I think. The software is
extremely slow, and there are so many screens you have to go through to
make
one simple change for your patient. It just doesn't seem to be thought out
very well, much less user friendly. I should prob stop now.

------------------
The software that we were using prior to couldn't submit most claims
electronically and hadn't had an update in years and was essentially
crashing more and more everyday. -----------------------------

When ir was installed they did something to our other software, I had to get some guy from Cali to fix that error. I think they deleted the pathway
or something because it interfered with the set. That was like 500 to fix
or
something. Maybe with the last update something happened again to this
(RBase) software. I am not sure, but if you think you (they are talking
about me fixing RBase that it appears they messed up) can fix the problem
that would be awesome.
------------------------------

I am no computer genius, but I have used a ton of different
programs/software and I do not understand how they would even think to
release this . Set aside the fact it is so far from user friendly, it is
seriously just a mess..... And they are about three months from their
promise update date. The last update they did I think caused more issues
than corrections to their previous issues. Maybe its better that they are
taking so long for this update, give them the chance to make sure it is
beneficial... LOL

I cannot believe anyone would give them money for anything, they should be
paying these poor dr's for being their guinea pigs and using this
software.
