Gary:  Yep, need to have valid "0" in there.  There's really no need to have
a macro to replace the "x" with anything, since gateway will ignore the "x"
during the import and leave the resulting field null.   It's just strange
that I never noticed this behavior before

Guess what!  Just tested it with 9.1 32bit, 0714, and it works fine there
with the nulls!  A blank in the spreadsheet comes in blank!  Another "dig"
I'll be able to get at the client for upgrading ....

Karen, sorry I missed you want to differentiate between zero and null.  In
that case, type in the x for no information as referenced earlier and
replace the x with null.  You can use several different approaches in Excel
to accomplish the same results.



When complete on development, create a macro for their system.
