Paul,

Remote desktop printing in R:BASE or any other product is a popular topic
today, with the growth of virtual computing environments. The most common
action for computer network users is printing - clicking the ole’ print
button and expecting a nice hard copy to pop out. But alas, if only it was
that easy.

As Steve has already suggested, make sure to update printer drivers on the
terminal server as well as the local workstations.

Very Best R:egards,

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Printing Using Terminal Server & Server 2008

I hope I can explain this well enough here. I am using the latest build of
eXtreme 9.1 (64 bit), Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7. I setup Remote
Desktop Services on the server and I am connecting using Remote Desktop from
the Windows 7 Clients. When I try to print from Rbase it won’t print to
any printer that shows as “redirected” only those with that distinction.
I am trying to print on a local printer on one of the PC’s while in the
Remote Desktop session and the only printer in the list that is the
“local” one also has the redirected following the name and so it isn’t
printing.

Has anyone seen this and been able to fix it? I Googled this and found some
suggestions but so far, none of them have worked.
