Hi Jan, I have a 17 inch HP with and I7 processor, 8 gig of memory, and 64 bit PRO OS. (Model HPE 580)
Pros It is very fast. The keyboard has a full sized numeric keypad. The display is large, clear and sharp. It has been reliable, no problems in over a year of operation. Cons It is big and heavy. Battery life is poor (less than two hrs with heavy use). When I bought mine over a year ago they offered three different batteries. I chose the middle one. The claim the extended battery will last 3-4 hrs but adds more weight and bulk to the PC. The charger is large and heavy. I have the XP option but I have never had a need to use it. All-in-all it is a nice PC if you are not worried about battery life or weight. If you travel a lot it would not be a good choice. When I travel, which is infrequent, I have a Lowepro backpack that nicely accommodates my PC and camera equipment.
