I know in the 'old days' there was a network setting that would close files after a period of inactivity at a workstation, including open databases. Any chance you have a setting like this? Although I have a Windows 7 laptop myself, I can't think of a single client of mine that's actively using it... So can't comment on my experience with it. Scott A long shot but there is a spot in the lower right hand corner that will show the desktop. Maybe the mouse is touching that spot. You can shut this off. Good morning everyone, I’m trying to research an old problem and see if anyone has any ideas. I’ve reported this problem to Rbase but can’t cause the problem to happen and so I can’t get the problem fixed. This problem seems to be happening on my Windows 7 desktop in a Windows Server environment. We have 30 workstations and 18 databases, all similar. One or more users can be accessing a database at any moment in addition to TerraScribe/Script with Oterro. How many users are logged in at the time of the error are unknown. Here’s what happens. 1. 15 to 20 times each day Rbase will terminate (blink out). Timeout = 0 2. Rbase is always idle when it happens. 3. Sometimes I’ll be at an R prompt, sometimes not. 4. Sometimes I’ll have an edit screen up, sometimes not. 5. Sometimes I’ll have multiple databases open on my desktop, sometimes not. 6. I’ll usually reorg my database immediately when this happens thinking that there’s an integrity issue with the database. This doesn’t seem to have any effect. Any ideas everyone?
