I just tested the commands as done by Razzak and got "YES" then 
unplugged my cable and got "NO" as advertised. I made a short command 
file as follows:

  SET VAR vresult TEXT = NULL
  GETPROPERTY APPLICATION ISINTERNETCONNECTED vresult
  PAUSE 2 USING .vresult
  RETURN
